Hey there! I'm Jaclyn, and my story behind the reason and love of photography is all due to my dad. Growing up, I had a front-row seat of being in front of my dads video camera and then camera. He was always by my family's side, camera in hand, taking in every precious detail that made our lives what we remember today. Those photos and videos are now all that I have left of my dad and it's what brings me so much joy getting to do it for others in a beautiful, timeless and joyful way.
Outside of my love of capturing and taking in these memories behind my camera I am a wife, mom of three, and believer. I love being outdoors by the water, fishing, paddle boarding and biking.
Photographing incredible families and couples is a dream, it's the simple joys of life, like sharing heartfelt conversations over coffee with my loved ones, that truly fill my cup. My heart always has room for a good laugh, especially the kind that's clever and unexpected.
Lastly, while my Asian roots might not be the first thing you notice (thanks to my dad's red hair and freckles, and my mom passing all her traits to my siblings), family is everything to me. It's the foundation of who I am. Standing behind my camera, capturing the unique story of your family, is an honor I cherish deeply.
I'm the fortunate husband of the incredible lady behind Jaclyn Armeni Photography. It's been a true privilege to dive headfirst into the world of capturing families and love stories. Witnessing the unique journeys of each couple and family that we work with fills me with immeasurable joy. Whether it's reminiscing about childhood moments in Hilton Head or capturing that unforgettable instant when they found "the one," my goal is to authentically convey the emotions that make their stories truly extraordinary.
As a husband and father, I'm in constant awe of our three beautiful children. There are moments when I'm torn between embracing the delightful chaos our trio brings or adding more little ones to the mix. In my downtime, I'm a sports enthusiast, especially when it comes to Georgia football. I have a love hate relationship teaming up with my wife for home DIY projects. it is a source of pain, laughter and accomplishment – even if we tend to finish them at about 90% before she finds something else that she wants to redo.
I'm also a dedicated Office quoter and always ready with a clever "Would you rather?" question to stir up some lively debates.
Being on this creative journey alongside my amazing wife is an absolute blessing, and I'm genuinely excited to be invited into your family and world. Like Jaclyn mentioned above, this is more than just taking photos for us - it's creating memories and capturing them for your family to hold onto for a lifetime.

We met in Spring of 2012 at West Virginia University through a mutual friend. We started dating that Fall of 2012, were engaged a year and a half later in February of 2014, and married 3 months later!

Whether it is taking care of our three kids, giving a gift to a friend, caring for loved ones, and of course, the photos she delivers, she gives 150%. How did we meet?
He's definitely the one guy that knows how to make me laugh. He's the most forgiving person I know with a quick whit and an inclination for adventure. Joe is a complete out of the box thinker. He's my (and our kids) biggest encourager to take steps of faith even if we are fearful (that's exactly how Jaclyn Armeni Photography even started!) It was Joe and his encouragement and telling me to "just try". On top of all that he's the cool fun dad and an incredible creative. He loves to learn about things he loves and is constantly learning how to do things better and offer the best service for our couples and families and his corporate clients.

How did we meet?
For weddings - gosh, so many but the first look takes the prize on this one. We do so much planning for this moment and it is always so unique per couple and so intimate. We are also complete suckers for the Father/Daughter first look and the moments with a mother and her son before he sees his bride. Maybe its because we have kids and we see how fast time goes by but those moments are just some of our favorites.
For families - It's large family gatherings and getting the grandparents with their grand babies and also getting mom in front of the camera with her babies.

How did we meet?
With any spare time we have between running our business', we love spending time with our kids in the Lowcountry. We absolutely love our small quaint town where our barista's know our coffee order and kids names and where we run into someone we know wherever we go. We spend as much time as we can on the beach, with our babies, friends and volunteering with our Youth Group at our church. We also love simply being in community with our friends and neighbors for game nights, boat days, dinner at one of our favorite restaurants or just fishing on the river.
