Hey there! I'm Jaclyn, and you're probably wondering how I ended up in the fascinating world of photography. Well, let me share my journey with you. Growing up, I had a front-row seat to the magic of capturing moments. My dad was always by my side, camera in hand, immortalizing every precious detail that made our lives extraordinary. Those photographs became our priceless treasures, especially when my dad faced significant health challenges.
Witnessing the incredible power of these captured memories and how they brought us immense joy and solace, I realized that I wanted to extend that gift to others. I wanted to provide people with the opportunity to preserve their own cherished memories in a way that was beautiful, timeless, and evoked deep emotions.
Who am I ? a wife, mom of three, and a devoted follower of Jesus. You could say I'm a mix of eclectic vibes – I adore playful earrings and dressing up in charming southern dresses, yet I'm equally at home fishing and paddle boarding. I'm a former soccer player and, believe it or not, an introverted extrovert. My roots trace back to DC, but it's the Lowcountry and the beach that truly feel like home.
Close, meaningful friendships are the cornerstone of my world, and I consider coffee an absolute necessity. I've got a soft spot for witty humor that delivers an unexpected punch. Growing up with three brothers and a stay-at-home dad also has its perks in this industry– like keeping groomsmen in line and making family photos with the guys a breeze!
And here's a fun tidbit – even though my Asian heritage might not be immediately obvious (my dad was red hair & freckles & my sweet mama gave all her genes to my siblings) , family means the world to me and is truly at the core of who I am. So, as I stand behind the camera, know that capturing the essence of your family's story is a privilege I hold close to my heart.
I'm the fortunate husband of the incredible lady behind Jaclyn Armeni Photography. It's been a true privilege to dive headfirst into the world of capturing love stories. Witnessing the unique journeys of each couple we work with fills me with immeasurable joy. Whether it's reminiscing about cherished childhood moments in Hilton Head or capturing that unforgettable instant when they found "the one," my goal is to authentically convey the emotions that make their stories truly extraordinary.
As a husband and father, I'm in constant awe of our three beautiful children. There are moments when I'm torn between embracing the delightful chaos our trio brings or adding more little ones to the mix. In my downtime, I'm a sports enthusiast, especially when it comes to Georgia football, and I enjoy playing sports myself. And speaking of partnerships, teaming up with my wife for home DIY projects is a source of both laughter and accomplishment – even if we tend to finish them at about 90%.
I'm also a dedicated Office quoter. Yep, I'm that guy who slyly drops in a perfectly timed reference and gets a good laugh. I'm always ready with a clever "Would you rather?" question to stir up some lively debates. A well-placed joke? Absolutely, count me in. But, I'm just as fascinated by deep conversations that unravel the complexities of life.

We met in Spring of 2012 at West Virginia University through a mutual friend. We started dating that Fall of 2012, were engaged a year and a half later in February of 2014, and married 3 months later!

Jaclyn brings a high standard of quality to everything she does. Whether it is taking care of our three kids, giving a gift to a friend, caring for loved ones, and of course, the photos she delivers, she gives 150%. He's definitely the one guy that knows how to make me laugh. He's the most forgiving person I know with a quick whit and an inclination for adventure. Joe is a complete out of the box thinker. He's my (and our kids) biggest encourager to take steps of faith even if we are fearful (that's exactly how Jaclyn Armeni Photography even started!) It was Joe and his encouragement and telling me to "just try". On top of all that he's the cool fun dad and an incredible creative. He loves to learn about things he loves and is constantly learning how to do things better and offer the best service for our couples and families and his corporate clients.

How did we meet?
For weddings - gosh, so many but the first look takes the prize on this one. We do so much planning for this moment and it is always so unique per couple and so intimate. We are also complete suckers for the Father/Daughter first look and the moments with a mother and her son before he sees his bride. Maybe its because we have kids and we see how fast time goes by but those moments are just some of our favorites.
For families - It's large family gatherings and getting the grandparents with their grand babies and also getting mom in front of the camera with her babies.

How did we meet?
With any spare time we have between running our business', we love spending time with our kids in the Lowcountry. We absolutely love our small quaint town where our barista's know our coffee order and kids names and where we run into someone we know wherever we go. We spend as much time as we can on the beach, with our babies, friends and volunteering with our Youth Group at our church. We also love simply being in community with our friends and neighbors for game nights, boat days, dinner at one of our favorite restaurants or just fishing on the river.
