THE TIMING OF YOUR FAMILIES SESSION IS EVERYTHING

With soft, white sand and gorgeous coastal surroundings, our sessions typically take place one hour before sunset, when the lighting is ideal and dreamlike, as seen in our portfolio. If you’re not sure that sunset hour would be the best fit for your children’s bedtime, we have other enchanting locations filled with our pleasing southern charm scenery. Please note, that booking an earlier time than sunset hour can result in photos with a slightly different aesthetic. 

OUTFIT INSPIRTAION

We always want our clients to feel confident and at their best during our time together. When you love what you’re wearing, it allows for everyone to relax and your personality to radiate throughout the session. We kindly request that our clients do their best to coordinate their outfits in a neutral color palate. Such as, but not limited to, blush, tans, light pinks, faint blues/teals, creams, grays, and whites. This color palate will always photograph in a softer and more romantic luminescence, therefore, achieving the timeless aesthetic as seen in our portfolio. Kindly below, is a style guide for your reference. 

BEING THAT WE ARE LOCATED ON AN ISLAND, THE CLIMATE CAN BE PRECARIOUS

We use our best maneuvers to make the climate work in your favor but just understand that wind is a factor. We do want to make mention of hurricane season. It begins June 1st and runs until November 30th. However, we want to set your mind at ease. Please never allow the predicted weather forecast to hinder your plans on booking your session with us. This is the simple nature of coastal weather and it changes frequently. It can rain for five or ten minutes and oftentimes, not at all. There may be a day where we may need to slightly shift our session by a few minutes but, it is never an issue at all!

It’s our desire that our clients have so much fun while we’re together! As a parent, we understand the feelings that come with wanting your kids to smile and look at the camera. As a photographer, it is the natural and organic moments that make for the best pictures. We want to see your family’s sweet personalities shine through our lenses. We have the honor of capturing your family’s love, hugs, nature, and true intimacy. We always encourage our clients to relax, allow your children to explore, interact with them, hold them, smile at them, and soak in every sweet moment with them while we capture your family simply, as you are. In parenthood, there is so much magic in the chaos. We want to encourage you to keep your attitude positive and have practical expectations of your children. We are immense believers in letting them be little. We value the trust our clients give to us to take beautiful photos even when it may feel loud and boisterous. Your family is already perfect, we just want to capture your perfect family. 

WE WANT YOU TO BE YOU

You and your family are unique and wonderful just as you are! It means everything to us when the kids have a great experience too! We want our time spent together to be something that they are excited about and will genuinely enjoy. For littles, work the time of our session around their schedule. On the day of our session allow your kids to have an easy day. Bring a physical bribe or treat! For babies, bring a best-loved toy and have a playlist of their favorite songs ready. Mamas, dads, and grandparents are truly nuggets of gold. If you’re behind the scenes don’t ever hesitate to have fun with your significant other, children, and family. We love and welcome silly dancing, jumping around, funny voices, simply snuggling and anything that brings the best out of your sweet family.
